March through August 2007 - Enterpulse is taking Business Process Management on the road from New York to Texas. Meet us in your city to learn how Business Process Management resolves common challenges, reduces the need for IT support and greatly improves productivity. BPM solutions enable you to take control of your business processes and locate the root cause of problems. With BPM you can overcome the following obstacles: Lack of visibility into how the business is run, unable to determine where and why problems occur, and the increasing turn around time to compile company analysis Low productivity due to manual processes, organizational barriers and lack of access to the necessary information Low customer satisfaction due to long response times, unhandled exceptions or problems in customer processes, or complex customer service needs Inability to launch new business tactics quickly to compete effectively or attack new opportunities Inability to comply (or document compliance) with federal/industry regulations- SOX, HIPPA, Basel II Our guest speaker and first BPM customer, Bill Smith - Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Chamberlin Edmonds, will discuss how his organization is utilizing BPM solutions to achieve some of the above benefits. The seminar will also feature best practices and a discussion of the methodology for implementing these solutions within your organization. Executive Forum
SOA discussions have moved from the IT department to the boardroom

Enterpulse is a Platinum sponsor and featured presenter at this year's Executive Forum. The event has been designed to continue the discussion surrounding the fundamental change of SOA. Technology still plays a role in the agenda however, we'll spend most of our time discussing how to unlock the business benefits of SOA: how SOA changes the way the business is organized, how IT investments are prioritized and justified, and how we measure the value of technology spending. Exclusive networking opportunities for our executive guests, a critical ingredient of the event's success, remain a big part of the agenda, along with the leading minds from our customers and partners. Upon arrival, enjoy an optional golf and evening welcome reception including peer to peer networking. A highlight of the event is the Keynote Speaker, Paul Strassman. Paul Strassmann, one of North America's leading technology minds, is anything but conventional; some call him confrontational. Among his assertions, there is no correlation between IT and a company's profitability. But his experience-including IT leadership at such diverse organizations as the U.S. Department of Defense, General Foods, Xerox, and NASA-makes him uniquely qualified to lead the debate. Following the opening keynote, as featured speaker, Enterpulse will present and discuss SOA Perspectives: Improving SOA Governance, Advancing IT and Business Alignment and Improving Corporate Performance. In addition to SOA Perspectives, SOA Best Practices are presented with examples from Comcast and Lifeline Systems. Steve Fox, Editor-in-Chief of InfoWorld will lead Panel Discussions such as People and Organizational Change and...

Enterpulse's Creative Partner Takes First in the 2006 Web Design International Festival
Creative Cannonball Represents U.S at 24-Hour Design Competition in Limoges, France

When most people hear the name Limoges, they think of the ornate, handpainted porcelain that has its roots in this region of France. But Limoges is host to a creative outlet of a decidedly more contemporary kind: the Web Design International Festival 2006, held this year on February 2-3. The concept? Assemble teams of up to four designers representing 10 countries from all over the world, throw them into a large convention space in a small town in southern France, and let the web games begin. This non-stop, 24-hour contest pits teams against one another to design dynamic, intuitive websites that must adhere to general themes given to the contestants just minutes before start time. For 2006, the theme focused on creating a rich media site for a mock architectural firm. The winners hail from Atlanta, GA-a first for the U.S. in this competitive space. In just 24 hours, fueled by artistic adrenaline and no shortage of caffeine, the U.S. team (who go by the tongue-and-cheek name "The Mighty Fighting Tigers") created a site that blends flawless architectural illustrations with streamlined animation-all set to a groovy mix that was written and recorded onsite during the competition. Carting around a keyboard, guitar, and Mac laptops, this foursome is the essence of collaboration-each bringing a unique talent to the design table. The team consists of Tony Shasteen (original illustration); Nathan Scronce (site design and Flash™ animation), Mark Kirby (site design and original score) and Sean McInerny (site framework and integration). As business...

Enterpulse Applauds BEA Services Infrastructure Product Strategy
Services Infrastructure Designed to Help Move Customers’ Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA) Efforts from Pilot to Productio

Enterpulse today announced its support for a new Service Infrastructure product strategy introduced by BEA Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: BEAS). Developed to help increase business agility while reducing IT cost and complexity, the Services Infrastructure products from BEA are designed to help companies manage the service-oriented architecture (SOA) lifecycle and swiftly assemble composite applications and processes in heterogeneous environments. BEA Service Infrastructure product family is designed to help companies make the transition from pilot to full enterprise-wide production of their SOA. SOA is a software design approach that takes the discrete business functions contained in enterprise applications and organizes them into interoperable, standards-based services. These services can be combined and reused in composite applications and processes to meet business needs. Service infrastructure is a new category of enterprise software designed to help enable the successful deployment of SOA in business environments by allowing services to be discovered, secured, managed and assembled into composite applications and processes – regardless of the underlying technology. “The reality is that most of the customers we encounter have multiple application platforms and a diverse assortment of technology environments,” said Sam Jankovich, President and Chief Revenue Officer of Enterpulse. “With BEA’s Services Infrastructure, we can accommodate their environments by helping to lift the business logic above proprietary applications and exposing a set of reusable systems and services. Once again, BEA is at the forefront in providing the tools designed to help businesses respond more quickly to user needs and market opportunities.” Enterpulse’s commitment to SOA began several...

Enterpulse Helps Major Transportation/Logistics Company Get On Track with Online Payment
Company Supports Credit Card Processing to Automate Processes and Reduce Costs

With the help of Enterpulse, the Company last year launched a new global information architecture for the corporate site, including a new design and navigation for three major business units. The Company is now equipped with a secure, flexible, easy-to-maintain site that uses BEA technology as a scalable foundation and affords security options at the portal level. As part of the business process analysis efforts undertaken during this initiative, the Company uncovered opportunities to make the payment processes more efficient and streamline formerly unmanaged sources of revenue within three (3) of business units: Real Estate, Intermodal, and Miscellaneous Payments. For each of these divisions, the Company recognized the need to implement online payment methods for its customers, while enabling real-time integration with the different systems housing the payment and tracking data. They looked to Enterpulse to help them do just that. As part of the overall approach, Enterpulse leveraged Web Services as the underlying foundation to enable communication to the company's credit card processing company - a nationally known financial services provider. The team addressed each e-commerce effort within the three business units using digital certificates and SSL protocol for data encryption over HTTPS to ensure the highest level of security. With each of the business units' content and applications operating under the portal umbrella, Enterpulse was able to use the financial service provider's integration point to support real-time payment authorization across three separate interfaces. Having recently implemented the credit card processing capabilities for these business units, the Company is...

The Internet Death Penalty: Most Web Visitors Never Return to Sites after a Bad Experience, Says New Survey
89 percent of business people aren't that impressed with the Web sites they visit; 66 percent rarely return to sites...

Most Internet users aren't that impressed with the Web sites they visit and Corporate America is doing a mediocre job of addressing people's online expectations, according to a new survey released by professional services firm Enterpulse. Furthermore, the survey indicates that an alarmingly high percentage of business people rarely return to sites where they've had a bad experience— suggesting that companies are missing opportunities with customers they didn't even know they had. "Companies are not meeting user expectations on the Web—and so are forever losing potential customers. That's the Internet death penalty," said Michael W. Reene, Enterpulse's chairman and CEO. "While most sites today provide adequate basics—current information, for example—they're woefully unprepared to reach the next level of user expectations," added Reene. "Even worse, those responsible for the site aren't even aware that they are not meeting these expectations. This creates a huge gap between user expectation and reality for most companies' Web presence. Our survey should be a real wake-up call for Corporate America." A majority of business professionals surveyed said Web sites are difficult to navigate, lack interactive tools to help them make decisions and fail to remember who they are. Most professionals say they have no patience for sites that don't deliver these customer-friendly features. In fact, 66 percent say they rarely—if ever—return to a site once they've had a bad experience. The results of the survey are featured in a newly released white paper authored by Reene. In it, Reene says that many times an organization's...
